Our hand-harvested Irish Moss (also Sea Moss or Carrageen) is primarily used as a vegan alternative to gelatin, a thickener for soups, stews and sauces and to make tea with to help soothe coughs. It can also be applied on the skin to soothe burns, moisturise and it is known to prevent acne and eczema. Air dried and naturally sun-bleached, it has no flavour, and smells mildly sweet
