Agua de Madre is a London-born, award-winning fermented drinks brand founded in 2017 by Nicola Hart, brewed in small batches in Hackney, East London. The name means "water of the mother" — a nod to the "mother" culture used in the fermentation process and a dedication to the communities that mothers have built throughout history. Their flagship product is naturally sparkling water kefir, brewed in large ceramic eggs and packed with billions of probiotic live cultures to nourish the gut microbiome. Low in sugar, naturally fizzy, and free from artificial anything — it's soda, but genuinely good for you. The range also includes zesty Remedio fermented teas and probiotic health shots. A proud Great Taste Award winner, Agua de Madre also donates 1% of profits to female-focused charities every year.
